About the book:

It's a Battle of Wills ... and Love Is on the Line!

Rural switchboard operator Georgie Gail is proud of her independence in a man's world . . . which makes it twice as vexing when the telephone company sends a man to look over her shoulder.

Dashing Luke Palmer is more than he appears though. He's a Texas Ranger working undercover to infiltrate a notorious gang of train robbers. Repairing telephones and tangling with this tempestuous woman is the last thing he wants to do. But when his stakeout puts Georgie in peril, he realizes more than his job is on the line.

My Take:

To be quite honest it took me a while to warm up to Georgie.  I thought that she was awfully judgemental and to quick to look down on others who didn't believe the same way that she did.  I did warm up to her though as her relationship with Luke unfolded.
Luke has some things about him that I didn't agree with also.  I really don't think that he needed to go along with some of the activites he did just so he could get closer to the gang.  I thought that there were better ways that wouldn't compromise his integrity.
The identity of the leader of the gang was a complete surprise and added a bit of a twist.

I did learn some things about birds that I didn't before and  I plan on making improvements to our yard to make it more bird friendly.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes historical fiction and western themes.  If you ton't get into it right away just give it alittle while more, the characters grow on you.

I received l aopy from Glass Road PR for Review purposes.  I wasn't required to write a positive review.
