My Take:  This is the third book in this series and I would definitely recommend reading the others first or you will be like me and totally confused.  The book was well written and I plan on going back and reading the other books in this series.  If you like fantasy and great characters I think you will probably like this book.

My Take:  This is book one in the series The Year of the Red Door.  It is a fantasy book and you will want to take your time reading it as you will want to savor every word.  I don't usually enjoy fantasy books but I found this book to be both enjoyable and intriguing.  This is a quest book but I didn't find it to be overwhelming in either the names or the things needing to be done to undertake the quest.  I would recommend this if you enjoy fantasy books and if you don't I would recommend maybe you give this one a try and you may change your mind.

My Take:  This was a pleasant read and not a huge honking read.  I liked the different perspectives from the different characters and even though I find fantasy reads a bit much at times and a little more work than I like in my pleasure reading this book was not like that at all.  I would recommend this book if you are wanting to just dip your toe into the fantasy genre.   Good story.
