My Take:  I don't usually read novellas because I usually want a little more to my stories.  These four stories were just the right length and didn't leave me wanting for more.  These stories are set during the period after the Civil War in the south so there are alot of issues that need to be addressed in each of these stories.  I think my favorite story was To Mend a Dream.  If you have read any of these authors give yourself a treat and try these stories which are just right for that inbetween time when you don't now what to read next.

To keep up with Dorothy Love, visit www.dorothylovebooks.com, become a fan on Facebook (Dorothy Love Books) or follow her on Twitter (@writerDorothy).  My Take:  I really enjoy this time period and I am really glad to say that I liked this book.   It is nice to read about a woman's determination to make her plantation work after the war and  is determined to do it on her own.  As for the mystery mentioned in the synopsis I really didn't see that there was really much of a mystery so if that is the main reason you picked up this book you will be disappointed.  This book is more about the time period with a little bit of romance thrown in.   If you have read other books by this author you will enjoy this book if you haven't read her other books this book will have you seeking them out.   I received a review copy of this book from Litfuse in exchange for my honest opinion.

My Take:  Secrets seldom lead to good things and secrets is what this book is all about.  Sophie has a secret that she is trying to keep from Ethan and he has a secret also.  Sophie is also trying to do something that women back during that time in history didn't do, be an independent business woman.  Being a woman but one with mixed race ancestry is harder still to pull this whole thing off.   Will Ethan and Sophie be able to tell each other their secrets without the other one walking away?  Great ending to this series.  This book can be read without reading the rest of the series but you will want to read the others because they are pretty good also.  The Cover of this book is just gorgeous.  Perfect read for this time of year also.

My Take:  One of my favorite genre's is historical fiction and I have found another author to look for when I am looking for another book to read.  And Yeah  this is just the first of a series. 

The story takes place in the times after the Civil War.  Many people were trying to find their way in the turmoil that was that time.  I have always been interested in this time period and have recently read several books set in this time.  This is one of the best ones that I have read.

Ada, the main character, is not a Christian but through her journey sees how other are relying on God.  Others in the story must find their way and learn to rely on God. 

I can't wait to read the next book in the series
