The main character is Dave who has an alcoholic father who is in the army and a mother who is ill but we don't know with what. Being military the family moves quite frequently and we are along for the ride. Dave has brothers and sisters who are fighting with each other like a lot of siblings do. Dave struggles in school but loves to read. When he is drafted his father pulls some strings and has him stationed in Korea instead of Vietnam. The story is told with some humor and was enjoyable to read and I would recommend it to almost anyone. I received a review copy of this book from Virtual Author Book Tours and was not required to write a positive review.
