I had read the other two books in this series so when Kindle offered as a free book I downloaded it.  Just like the other books in this series The Choice is filled with love, family, tragedy and hope.

I really enjoyed this book although I never warmed up to the character of Sol.  I thought he was a selfish boy/man  and didn't really care about Carrie.  Carrie took some time to warm up to but by the end of the book I was hopeing that everything worked out for her. 

Seems like Carrie just kept getting blow after blow in her life.  She was a very strong woman to persevere and keep going. 

If you like Amish Fiction but want a little more this is the series for you. The other books are;

My Take:
This is the third in a series.  I haven't read the others in the series but you don't need to read them to enjoy this book.  I am a fan of cozy mysteries and this very much reminds me of a cozy mystery.  It is also historical fiction.

Someone has stolen books from John Wyclif  and books back then were worth alot of money.  He asks Hugh de Singleton to help retrieve them and so Hugh starts trying to find them.  Along the way Hugh is intent on courting Kate but since he has taken his time about the whole thing he finds that someone else is in the picture. 

I like the fact that the author included a glossary at the beginning of the book as a reference as I have read several books either set in England or Ireland and I had a hard time trying to understand the dialect.

I will definately be looking for the first two books in this series.

My Take:
This is the Third Book in a Series.  Although not having read the first two books in this series I had no problem with the main story in this book.  I was however completely lost in the Last chapter.  All these characters that I had no Idea who they were or where they were from came out of the wood work and completely threw me for a loop.  
 
That being said I really enjoyed this book and I will definitely be going back and reading the first two books. 
 
We first meet Nick Stathos as he is trying to intervene on behalf of a mother that is at the end of her rope with her life.  Her electricity has been turned off and her babysitter didn't show up so her daughter called for help and the police and Crisis worker show up.  Nick is able to talk to her and by time and then they rush the whole family to the hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning.  At the hospital we are introduced to Nick's soon to be Ex-wife Leigh who wants to just get the divorce and start her life over again.  Nick wants desperately to save his marriage.  In walks Samantha Gordon, the Crisis worker and the women that Nick had an affair with when his best friend and her brother died and Leigh had kicked him out of the house. 

Along with all this drama lurking in the background is the father of the family sent to the hospital who has been banished from the family for taking and dealing drugs.  He is determined to get his family back. Anyway he can.  
 
I really liked this book although I thought that there was way too much time spent on talking about Leigh's horse.  There was just enough suspense to keep you turning the pages but not so much that you lost sight of the wole human drama going on between Leigh , Nick and Samatha.

My Take:
 
This book was very exciting and kept my attention even though it is written for children.  I thought that my son would have loved to have read a story like this when he was younger.  It is perfect for pre-teen or middle grade boys but I think that girls would like it also.  It is filled with action.  
Set in the prehistoric time, this book should interest it's target audience.  It is a clean read which is refreshing in this day and age.  
This book chronicles life when you had to fight against the elements and animals just to survive everyday life.  It is has a boy becoming a man in a very difficult period of time.  A Great book.  
 
This is the first in a series.  The Second book is   

Zan-Gah and the Beautiful Country
Which takes place a few years after the first book.
